I had a lot of fun testing out the new Gili 11’ Adventure inflatable stand up paddle board. This board is very stable, easy to paddle and ideal for beginners.
I found it just as easy to paddle on flat water lakes as on ocean water even when dealing with chop and wake from boats.
The board includes multiple D-rings as well as front and back bungee tie downs for securing gear so you can load it right up for any adventure.

More Detailed Information
I paddled this board quite extensively both solo and with my two little dogs. I found it very easy to get comfortable on the 11’ Adventure. It feels stable and secure on most types of water.
Just about anyone regardless of your skill level or size will feel comfortable quickly on this paddle board.
The 32” width provides a lot of stability. Typically a 32” wide board is going to be a little slower in the water and we did notice that to be true with this one as well.
I had to work a little harder to keep up with my friends who were on 30” wide boards.
That being said this is true for most 32” wide SUP’s as you typically compromise some speed and performance for more stability.
However the tapered nose does help it cut through the water nicely and for those wanting a comfortable board that is easy to paddle the Adventure is a great choice for cruising and touring expeditions.
Important Features:
This ISUP is loaded with features that make it great for many types of adventures.
2 Sets Of Bungees – There is a large bungee section at the nose of the board that can be used to secure a dry bag or any gear you want to bring along.
I had all my gear stored under the front bungees and there was still room for my two little dogs to ride the nose.
The bungees at the back of the board can secure even more gear or even a cooler.
17 D-rings – There are a ton of D-rings on the Adventure that make it easy to tie down anything you’d like to bring on board with you.
There are 6 D-rings up front being used by the bungee cords as well as 4 D-rings at the back bungees.
There are also 3 D-rings on either side of the board that can be used to attach a seat or secure more gear, which make this board really functional and versatile.
There is also a D-ring at the back end of the board that can be used to secure your board leash.
3 Handles – The padded center carry handle makes it easy and comfortable to carry this light weight board to and from the water.
There are also front and back grab handles that can be used if you need to grab the board from the water or pull it into shore.
9” Removable Fin – The removable touring fin easily clips into the fin box and really helps with tracking and stability.
2 Attached Side Fins – The smaller attached side fins also help with stability and maneuverability.
EVA Traction Pad – The soft brushed EVA traction pad is comfortable for standing, kneeling, stretching or doing a little yoga.
This soft brushed type of traction pad is often seen on yoga boards because it is so comfortable.
Although I wouldn’t classify the Adventure specifically as a yoga board the traction pad is comfortable enough and the board is stable enough that you could technically use it for a few yoga poses as well.
Setup
Most inflatable SUP’s can be setup in less than 10 minutes from the time you arrive at the water.
The Adventure was just as quick and easy to setup as you’d expect.
You can easily take it out of the backpack that zips open on three sides.
Unroll the board, take off the valve cap, push in the valve tip so that it pops up then attach the hose from the pump and start pumping.
Once it gets difficult to keep pumping (usually around 7 PSI) you can then remove the little cap on the pump to switch to single action mode to make inflation easier.
Keep going until you reach 12-15 PSI. At that point the board will be very rigid. Remove the hose from the valve and replace the valve cap.
Turn the board over and clip in the 9” fin. Attach your board leash to the back D-ring and you’re done.
Grab your paddle, adjust it to the heigh you want, put on your PFD, secure the leash to your ankle and you’re ready to hit the water.
It might take you a bit longer first time out but once you know what your’e doing it’ll be really fast from then on.
Included Accessories
The Gili Adventure package comes with everything you need to get on the water except your PFD.
It’s a great package that includes:
Backpack
The backpack zips fully open on one side, on the top and part way down the other side making it easy to remove the board from the bag and replace it after use.
The bag has adjustable padded shoulder straps, a waist belt and chest clip for added support.
It’s a big bag that can hold the board and all accessories. It is easy and comfortable enough to carry. I wouldn’t want to do a hike with it but for getting to and from the water, it’s great.
It also has a mesh paddle holder on one side and multiple clips to cinch it tight.
If I had to give one critique it would be that I would love to see more grab handles for easy lifting. It only has one handle at the top back of the bag.
3-Piece Carbon Fiber Paddle
The paddle that comes with this package is a good one. It is lightweight which will allow for less shoulder and arm fatigue.
The paddle is adjustable and breaks down into three pieces for easy storage and traveling.
10’ Coiled SUP Leash
A leash is an important safety item when paddle boarding as it keeps your board from getting swept away from you if you fall in the water.
Included in this package is a 10’ coiled leash that you can attach to the back D-ring on the board and to your ankle.
9” Fin
The 9” removable fin is quick to clip in and secure. We highly recommend using this fin unless you are in extremely shallow water as it greatly helps with tracking and back-end stability.
Dual Action Hand Pump
The hand pump has two settings for single and dual-action mode. Start pumping in dual action mode until it gets difficult then switch to single action to make it easier to finish it off.
It took me just over 7 minutes to inflate the Adventure with fairly steady pumping.
Repair Kit
All inflatable paddle boards come with a small repair kit that includes a couple PVC patches, waterproof glue and a valve tightener.
Bottom Line
The 11’ Adventure ISUP is loaded with features, easy to paddle and great for cruising around with your family or friends.
The size makes it ideal for those who want a little extra stability, for fishing, loading up with lots of gear and fun days exploring new areas!
It packs up into a very portable package that can literally go anywhere you desire. 🙂
